Delete Your Can Crush Account

Can Crush allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data. This page explains how to request deletion, what data is removed, and what is retained.

How To Delete Your Account

Option 1 — From the app (recommended)

1. Open the Can Crush app and sign in to your account.
2. Go to Profile (tap your profile icon).
3. Tap Account Settings.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted. You will be signed out immediately.

Option 2 — By email

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Can Crush account. Include “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line. We will process your request within 72 hours and confirm by email once complete.

Data That Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed within 24 hours of the deletion request:

• Account credentials — passwords, passkeys, linked Apple/Google sign-in, and all active sessions;
• Profile information — username, email address, profile photo, country/region, and language preferences;
• Submission images — raw photos and processed/overlay images are purged from storage;
• Social connections — friend requests, friend lists, and group memberships;
• Push notification data — device tokens, delivery history, and notification preferences;
• Game data — Can Crush STOMP game profiles, badges, and streaks;
• Competition entries — participation records in competitions and challenges;
• User reports — any reports you filed or that were filed about you.

Data That Is Retained

A limited set of non-personally-identifiable data may be retained after account deletion:

• Anonymized measurement records — crushed-can measurement data (diameter, trust score) may be retained for leaderboard integrity but is disassociated from your identity. Your username and email are replaced with an anonymous placeholder.
• Anonymized feedback and defect reports — if you submitted product feedback or bug reports, the report text may be retained for product improvement but your email and user ID are removed.
• Competition results — finalized competition standings may retain anonymized entries for historical accuracy.

Retention Holds

In rare cases, account data may be temporarily held beyond the standard deletion period if required for active fraud investigations, legal compliance, or open support cases. You will be notified if a hold applies to your account.

Timing

• Your account is deactivated immediately upon deletion — all sessions are revoked and you cannot sign in;
• Personal data is permanently purged within 24 hours unless a retention hold applies.
